Four more years of War
 

What do you guys think of Bush getting re-elected? As long as we're fighting a pointless war in the middle east, we're going to keep losing troops in Iraq instead of the REAL 9/11 culprits lead by Osama Bin Laden... BUt that's just my opinion.

I used to be a Navy Corpsman serving alongside my fellow Marines a while back, and even they say this whole thing is totally worthless. What is the WHOLE point with Bush? Is he fighting the same war his Daddy couldn't fininsh in Desert Storm? Are we forgetting who we're really looking for?

I dunno if this is a repost, but I'm just ranting...

you know the old saying "your temper gets you in trouble, but pride is what keeps you there". bush is too proud to admit that there's no end and will never be a victory to this war, even though he knows it. by him pulling troops and abandoning the the so called 'mission', that would be like him admitting that he was wrong :-\

True to that statement, projekteg, but it think it's better to admit that you're wrong and be forgiven now, than to keep the mistake going and going. That's what he needs to get into his thick ass head right now. There are so many families that have lost loved ones to that war and I know they didn't vote for Bush. But what comes around goes around. I just hope that someone who returns from the war doesn't snap and take his frustrations out the wrong way. Ever heard of the movie "The Rock"?

Remember Vietnam? Of course not, me either I wasn't alive ;), but it's a similar story, we probably won't win, and it will be pointless in the end, all the lives lost, the money spent, everything, it's sad. In the end we will have to admit we, as a nation, were wrong and after a few years everyone will forget, just like most people have forgotten or don't really care about 9/11

no ----~ discussing politics is like debating over religion.

but I think for the most part, the people actually fighting the war (e.g. the military and civilian gov. workers) most likely has a better view than us. For example, while we are here complaining how going over to the land of "Stans" isnt doing any good-- probably feels that in fact we are helping those "Stani" countries.

The ones that dont approve quit.

Well, except Gaza land war. We're helping the Israelis even though they unlawfully stole the land from Palestine.

Anyways, our troops will be in Iraq for more than four years. You have 3 different groups there wanting control with completely different views on how things should be. Not to mention we allowed their guerilla war to go past the first year which is usually when you need to remove it or they'll get settled in and start doing larger attacks. As of late, they've moved into larger attacks. They killed the interm leader and the 3 main canidates for the Jan 30th election.

Oh well, we'll be in Iran soon enough so we can stop worrying about Iraq like we did with Afganistan.

i was so piss when i was watching it at the TV.
he keeps on talking about threat ot our nation, save this save that, how ppl are trying to test out our nation, how we will scarifry to help others to gain their freedom/ libertey.
Now who`s scarifring, it is those who`s fighting a War that means nothing, so many lifes scarifried for nothing, there`s no outcome, there`s no settalment. it only brings up more hate, more problem for both their and our nation.
What does he Really want is the real question.
i don`t hate bush but then i hate him only because how he keep on repeating himself over and over again, how he try to use everyone`s emotion on what had happened 3 years ago to gain approval on himself, to gain approval of what he trynig to achive(who knows)

someone mention CIA up there. back then someone told me whenever you mention the word CIA on the net, there`s always someone from CIA will look after it. and i hope they really do.

who attacked israel in the first place? how long did this "war" last.

israel took land during the *six* day war. in which it was attacked by multipal countries.

totally legitimate, they took the land so they could be better prepared for another attack by its neighbors

Do you guys understand anything about israel's history. The nation when it was created a little over 50 years a go was 1/3 the size of Los Angeles. From the start the middle east was planning to destroy the nation and finsih of the Jewish people leaders of many arab countries voiced this opinion very clearly I have a clip somewhere of Egypt's president saying he will finsih what the nazi's couldnt . The support Israel gets is becasue the Israeli people are a peaceful Nation not terrorists like majority of the arab nations. We wont start another war unless it's really needed. The more I think why we started the iraqi war is more of like finally cleaning up under the carpet. Saddam in 89 did a big non no. Come 03 we start to finish the Job. The weapons were any easy way to get the american people to back it but I still think without that most americans back their president in times such as those. Unless something really serious happens we wont start another war. If we do the Republican party can kiss away all the work they have done has the have the nation and all forms of government so why push the boundaries.

Woops, got too zealous. Iyad Allawi is alive, but a quick google search ended up showing he killed 6 "suspected insurgents". Atleast he's alive to violate international law like ourself. ;D

btw, the SIX day war didn't result in the land being taken because of it's they gain the ability to be prepared for another attack from it's neighbors. First off, Israel started that war so preparing for another attack seems backwards. Second, if you knew about the UN Partition Plan you would know that they took more land that what agreed upon including the Gaza.

btw x 2, you're telling me Israel has done nothing wrong? Just because they are using military instead of guerilla forces doesn't mean they are good people. If anything, they are worse. Invading the area and basically doing martial law at a whim, firing shells into Palestine owned areas, all protests automatically become a closed military zone so no one hears about it, they do black outs on almost all media making them look bad, etc...

Now, if all you got is me being too quick by saying Allawi is dead... I guess I'm an unedumacated hippie.

I think people need to really realize that the "war" isn't taking that many lives.

Even if you think we got in for the wrong reasons, you cannot tell me that overthrowing Saddam H. was a bad idea. So now that we are in the country you might as well support the troops that are there.

When was the last time you saw ossama bin laden doing anything of importance?? Has he bombed anything since we attacked the taliban??

We all had a chance to voice our opinion on election day, more people agree with bush than are against him. Let it rest.

Discuss something that matters like social security reform, and tax stuff. Pick a battle that already isn't over liberals.

Not true at all. He had to have a following in order to get into power. First you need the power to brainwash people. He was originally elected with an overwhelming popularity, kinda like the hillbillies banded together and revoted Bush into power. Remember, Hitler came into power through the government by being elected. Granted it took 17 tries for the Nazi's but they were elected by people thinking on their own
