HMT only accepts JDM photoshoots of your naked girlfriend or sister.

paint looks surprisingly even (assuming you did it with a rattle can), and pretty decent. Think you need a 2dr bumper though

All those retarded pics of a retarded car with a retardly small ic that looked retarded. Not to mention, not one engine shot. Plus why didn't you pain the hood and trunk? Thats like the ghettofied painting a hood black on a non black car to get that cf effect but this is like the backwards polish version. This post is retarded and I feel more retarded for having posting in this retarded post and this should be lock so more people don't become more retarded then I've gotten. :'(

some pretty nice shots of your car. but....i hope you picked up that intercooler for cheap because if you would of had your licence plate where it should be you wouldnt be able to see your intercooler lol. i would seriously think about painting that black or get a bigger one. its like having a tiny wiener and telling all your friends about it. you just dont do it. car looks pretty clean though. i still need to get some dents out of mine from the prevous owner.

Picture red everywhere and a standard HMT setup. 0o0o00o a DSM BOV, how groundbreaking, we totally need pics otherwise we'd never know wtf was going on under the hood ::)

Roller + spraybomb FTW. 2 door bumpers fit?

Xgenturbo 04-03-2006 09:50 AM

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

Yes a 2 door bumper will fit with small adjustments and fit.

So why are rads so big, if bumper cutouts are so small?

because radiator has fans, intercooler don't.
but who am I to say ----, my intercooler is 10.5"x35"x3.5" and stock opening in my bumper, so I put a slim fan in the spot where my AC condensor used to be.

Minor Threat 04-03-2006 11:36 AM

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

Yeah, but do your rad fans go on when you're cruising around, no, there's def. airflow.

The slimfan idea is a pretty good one though, I'm just hacking the ---- out of my bumper.

"OMG J00'RE CUTTING THE REBAR OH NOES!!"

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

Newer sentra rims are 4x114.3. Those are honda rims. I believe a dealer option on civics. Not very common but not rare wheels.

A longer core is less efficient than a taller short one.

jinxy 04-03-2006 01:49 PM

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

if that intercooler was 12 x 20 x 3 it would have a volume of 720 square inches

the standard cca 31x6x3 would have a volume of 558 square inches.
the 31x8x3 would have a volume of 744 square inches.

while his intercooler looks small. it actualy has more surface area/volume than the 31x8x3. so.. even if it looks funny who cares. This website is not about looks. The same reason we dont care about car photoshoots in jdm garages :P

the fan is hooked to a swith I turn it on, or it comes on with the radiator fan.

why is that? if you have the turbo to support the volume it should be better, I had a cca 6" fmic and everyone told me I need a upgrade if I wanna run more than 300whp, so I looked around and found a threadstone bar and plate for $200 from ebay, so think it was a good move. I seen people using 12x31x4 and making big power. if I have pressure drop I just up the boost to compensate for it

Oh ---- my intercooler looks small.....ill get on ordering an XXL EVO intercooler for the mad flow my TE04H put out...pfft..or should i just end myself now?

Its probably becuase of the 4 door bumper, they usually make the car look wider. Who really gives a ---- on intercooler length, ladies love the girth. ;)

compare 2 cores with the same surface area except for one is long and one is tall, the tall one will outperform it. There's reasoning behind it but I don't feel like typing it all

jinxy 04-03-2006 04:48 PM

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

what are the reasons? It seems like if you had a taller core, with the chargepipes at the bottom of the core. the heat would have a tendency to stay to the top of the intercooler, allowing alittle extra cooling time before it shoots straight acrost. But, i dont know the exact reasoning of it.

you should have painted it black and hid it underneath the bumper grilles you should be ashamed.

sohcpwr 04-03-2006 06:12 PM

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

the taller and shorter cores are more efficent because of how the air moves through the tubes (or bars) on the inside. Our long and not very tall cores force the air to make a long trip through a thin tube, the tall cores have more fins and much larger endtaks, allowing more air to go through the core at one time. Its hard to visualize, if you have ever seen a procharger intercooler- they run the air in the top and out the bottom of a long core like ours for better flow.

Re: First JDM photoshoot of the season (PICS)

i think someone wanted to do an intercooler comparison and dyno tests etc but that never ended up happening. An upgrade might help but a teo4h is pretty small also, you should upgrade both at the same time. Is that te04h a chrysler flange or some kind of mitsu flange? Oh yeah, stillnoturbo, quit being a douche and stfu :l
