So even if my IE has spyware and pop ups and all that good ----, if I change to this and never open IE again I'll never have to worry about how many times IE contracted the aids virus?

oops, lemme correct myself... you wont if you clean up the spyware and adware, then never use ie again. otherwise ie will just open by itself :-\

well, i think what hes saying is, if you dont use ie to surf the web and use fofox, then you wont have toworry about spyware being installed by just surfing the net and ---- like that and your homepage chanign withought you knowing.

yeah, i admit ie has gotten better. although you should remember that hackers are going to primarily target the weaknesses of ie instead of other browsers, because everyone and their mother's uncle's cousin's brother is using ie. ie will never stop having problems because people will find new ways to ---- with it. firefox wont suffer from most ie problems simply because it isn't ie.

check out AVANT..its IE based, tabbed browser. very secure.
