I've been using it for about a week now and it's pissing me off. I don't really like it. :-\

Copy and paste is a pain in the ass with it for some reason. Scrolling is all fucked up. I can't do certain ---- I used to be able to do with IE. :-\ My "address window" (I don't know WTF else to call it)won't change like it did in IE. In IE it would update my address's so the most popular ones were at the top and the ones I click hardly ever go to the bottom and eventually go away. Any address I go to sticks in there and won't move and I don't know how to change it.

I dunno, I don't think it's any better. If anything I'd say it's worse.

Also, pictures take FOREVER to load with Firefox compared to what IE was. I hate clicking on threads with pictures because it takes forever to load. I switch over to IE and it works fine. Any page in general takes way longer to load compared to what it used to. :-\

IMO IE < netscape < Firefox

Firefox and netscape run on the same engine i believe. The mozilla engine. Firefox is a lot better though. I switched to it from netscape, and it is amrginally better. I will never use IE though, that browser is a joke.

fire fox is ok.its good and all, but its more annoying than anything else.


im sticking with konquror, but firefox can play flash so i use it for dual purposes. sometimes i use firefox, sometimes i dont.

konqueror is ok for browsing my filesystem, but i still like firefox for internet browsing. but if you really want, konqueror DOES play flash. you just need the flash plugin. i believe you need to put it in /usr/local/netscape/plugins

I honestly don't use the tabs. I don't like the downloader all that much, but the pages all load much quicker than ever in IE :o

the main reason firefox is better= NO pop ups. I have never had one single pop up since using Firefox. Firefox also has tabbed browsing which is a lot easier than opening ie multiple times if you want to have a bunch of sites up at once.

it doesn't suck if you like a browser full of security holes that allow malicious scripting to occur which hijack the ---- out of your browser, if you like having your homepage changed to www.crazy-------midgetanimalsexpornsite.com or www.comegambleinmy-------casino.com, or if you ------- LOVE popups. also, if you love spyware and adware keep using internet explorer. :D

After I got my Google toolbar I never had any pop-ups with IE. :-\

I don't ever use more than maybe 2 windows at a time so that really doesn't bother me.

I think I just talked myself into switching back to IE.

hey, whatever works for you ;) . if you can configure internet explorer to be secure and work properly, have fun. it is possible to do but its really ------- annoying and you take away alot of functionality by doing so.

well, i think what hes saying is, if you dont use ie to surf the web and use fofox, then you wont have toworry about spyware being installed by just surfing the net and ---- like that and your homepage chanign withought you knowing.

yeah, i admit ie has gotten better. although you should remember that hackers are going to primarily target the weaknesses of ie instead of other browsers, because everyone and their mother's uncle's cousin's brother is using ie. ie will never stop having problems because people will find new ways to ---- with it. firefox wont suffer from most ie problems simply because it isn't ie.
