finding ip addresses

I have two questions, How do I find my IP address, I use Ie an windows XP. Also, is there a way for me to find the ip addresses of a person who makes a post on a forum (not this one). Basically someone on some gay forum thinks I said something. blah blah blah. but at least how do I find my own ip.

go to start menu->run and type in "cmd"

A command prompt will appear. Type "ipconfig" and BINGO! there's your local ip

Or go to www.whatismyip.com

And about other people's ips on forums, usually they are hidden from everyone except a moderator (just like this forum)

ask to direct connect
boom it even tells you the ip address right there. easy peezy.

dude, if your gonna hack his computer at least try your stuff out on 127.0.0.1 ...
if it works on that then you should be able to do some damage

seriously? wow i didn't know that.... well anyways i did, and i'd rather not have another person messin up others stuff because he's mad at some forum...
