fedex problems over charging

I have been usin them for about the last 2 years and well the last 2 weeks has just been a pain in the ass. 2 claims filed due to weight on items bein incorrect. I shipped a gasket yes a gasket. Weighed it on my scale for 1lb 2 oz with packing. WEll the shipping said 90 lbs and charged me 85.92 for it. Im in a dispute but in a reality I think Im screwed has what proof do I have since all my stuff is done online but the tracking # does show that the weight of the package was 1lb but the rated weight was 90 lbs :7. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this. Just sucks becuase it looks like Im gonna go back to ups. Plus I cant talk to anyone till monday great

Shitty. I guess when you ship a ton of stuff, the odds of a major screw up is pretty high.
UPS has always been good to me. Use them the most by far.
Only a handfull of FedEx packages. For some reason they like to leave packages just sitting in front of my door. When I built my last computer, they left about $600 worth of ---- inside of a cooler thats next to my door. I didnt even know it for two days :1

Pay the bill with a CC, then call in to your CC company w/ the complaint and have it reversed. They'll be dealing with the CC company right?

we deal with fedex at work alot, especially fedex freight.

our bookkeeper spends a great amount of time reviewing our fedex account and getting the companies money back.

I hate FedEx, they like to deliver turbo's and intercooler's to other people's door steps (Including, but not limited to, old ladies and drug dealers).

UPS for teh win

Its through my checking account so I guess i could deal with bofa and see what they have to say. I havent had problems till now and 2 packages that were way off on the rate charge basically overcharged me over 100 dollars for 2 packages so back to ups it is. It just lame becuase I cant do anything till monday.

After 40 minutes on the phone it looks like I got it cleared up. I guess they screwed up on the dimensions via a couple decimal points we will see. Either way Im pretty sure Im done usin fedex

USPS gets the job done for me, never had an issue with damn near 50 packages in the last year or so, and 2 days anywhere in america for next to no money will always be good to me.

I had problems with ups a couple years back lost 2 packages in 2 months switched to fedex. Everything was goin good till lately. I think Ill give them a couple more shots but if anything like this happens again Im done. Us mail is awesome for small stuff but for anything you need up to date tracking or over 10 lbs fedex/ups is just more convienet and cheaper. Overall I understand error but this one if I wasnt so ---- about my bookeeping proably would of been screwed

I used to always use UPS until I realized that fedex was cheaper. I've been using fedex for a little while now and haven't had any problems. I'd also prefer to use fedex to ship because sometimes when I recieve something from ups the box is all fucked up. When I get a box from fedex it is always in decent shape.

i've never had a problem with either fedex nor ups. i even shipped a turbo oversea's. got there in like 5 days :o via fedex. shipping cost more than what the guy paid total. 550shipped for a used t3/t04b 54trim is an awesome deal :6
