i am not knocking the evo or sti..actually i just started grad school this fall and when i am done plane on buying the 07 evo.. but it is very hard to find a car with as much potential as that and does not require rebuilding everything from the ground up.

that is all i am saying..

well yeah 7g's to make a car faster and faster but thats alot to me cuz my payroll isn't high enough yet to dish that much out

no offense but he has killed c5 z06..
I was unfourtunate enough to be in the car when it happened..
I donot know what the guy had but the cam loped like a mofo, and he started the taunting my buddy by purging his nitrous..smoked him by at least 3 car links

thing about 03-04 cobras, most people dont understand I had to be explained to me is they have indepent rear end, so they dont twist on lauch..and really helps at high speeds for stability

oh and his car in his opinion is not really that fast, I am in Dallas,TX and their are guys here and in houston that have 03-04's that run ------- 9's..!!!

i was refering to a stock 03/04 cobra vs a stock c5 z06. in which the z06 would walk the cobra.

its probably easier and cheaper to mod the cobra thou.... but a modded c5 z06 vette... :S

jonny has a valid arguemnt here. dozens of cobras rule hard around here. I might take an ls1 over a cobra though. I might take one soon too :y

the supercharged cobra owns evos. they were like 5 grand more though. like 35200. sigh... i dont think i could justify spending 35200 on a car though. maybe when i get out of school and make more than 12 grand a year. but right now but 6032 hours of work to drive a car sounds painfull to me now :(

I think the arguement is the 4cyl can and will run with the "undoubted" cobra.

im not in any way sayin the cobra isnt a bad ass car...because it is, but I would rather run the evo. there is nothing more than I would want in a car than what the evo offers from the factory. I could buy the evo, and be happy with it from the factory. I still am saving for one....

you'd get toasted by a lot of cars if you left it stock. you could beat a lot of stock hondas thou :)

so to sum it all up, all the guys on here that drive hondas are used to being slow so and evo would be really nice,

and theres no doubt that a cobra w/ any amount of well spent money can seriously kick ass on almost any 4cyl car.

and i want both

Hands down its hard to argue with the newer Cobra's. Fast as ---- for not alot of cash.
Id like to own an EVO, but without even riding in one I know Id be seriously disapointed with its lack of power. (after the sweet AWD launch)
$$$ and performance all taken into consideration, Id rock the stang. :)
