Does insurance replace a lambo if its 1 of 177? nope but you will get some cash.
Will you get your cavi back with all its manhours of work there? nope but you get some cash.
What about your project car with however many hours into it?

I agree there are worse, no one was harmed but i think thats about the only thing that is topping it.

oh maybe that came off wrong. i don't mean it like "no big deal", but there's really nothing he can do about it now..

Re: Every mans worst nightmare.

Sucks for him.

At least he had insurance. No matter what they pay, I doubt it'll compensate him for all the time/money spent, and definitely not on the rare Lambo. It's better than nothing though.

True. cant say I would cry like a girl like this guy but having to sit there and watch it all go up in flames before the FD gets there is fucked up.

Re: Every mans worst nightmare.

Ouch that is harsh. The problem is insurance only covers replacement of the cars[stock market value] and part of your tools so you are still out huge dollars in parts etc and you lose all the priceless projects that you had etc. :3

Re: Every mans worst nightmare.

oh my god my z!! i cant replace that..

well there a 71 lambo, 71 lotus and 3 bikes in there.. those cars were around before he was born and he's worried about a 90's model z car?? hate to see ---- like that happen but goddamn that lambo or lotus would buy 40 of those z's

I will hope I'm never that emotionally attached to my possesions. :3 Also, someone said he's 25? I highly doubt he actually worked for any of that ---- so it's not like he earned it or even deserved any of it. ::) I'm sure mommy and daddy will buy him new stuff. ::)

If I ever cry like a little girl like that it won't be over a few burnt cars and some tools. :3

Wow, so this guy was literally crying. I haven't seen the video since I'm at work and don't have sound.

I think my reaction would be more explicit than an x-rated film, not like something from a romance.

I'd rather have the Lotus or the Lambo than you walking the face of the earth... so, yeah.

Re: Every mans worst nightmare.

^lol truth. i think i would be real close to tears if i worked my ass off and put all my money into a garage like that, but if he was smart he could get a lot more money than he lost. just gotta be inventive with the insurance claim. lol and with the ---- he actually had it would probably be beleiveable too.

What gets me the most is he's worried about a 300ZX when there's a Lotus and Lambo inside there.

I just don't get it. Well...actually he did say those were his dad's so being the spoiled little ---- he is, he's only worried about his own ----.

He's like, ---- dad my toys are in there even though they're worth less.

1. Nobody who had access/owned those cars would ever do that
2. Insurance will probably cover whatever policy they had on the car, not factoring inflation due to it being a classic
3. Come on dude. Classic Lambo and Lotus?

Re: Every mans worst nightmare.

my friend's father's shop burned down with all his tools and his 68 roadrunner in it. The poor car was running just fine at the time, but it was up on blocks with the wheels off inside the shop, and by the time he got there the shop was fully engulfed in flames. The guy loved that car and was running in and out just trying to get wheels on to push it out while the firemen just watched it burn down b/c they said it was too dangerous to go inside from the structural damage. He saved the engine, car was unsalvageable, but every aluminum part on the engine was melted. Thankfully most of it was cast iron. They are actually going to start tearing that engine down in the next couple weeks to see if its rebuildable because they want to put it in a 72 charger he just got. Twin turbo on they way ;)

Yes it does not take much to melt aluminum. You would be suprised how hot a structure fire will get. Up in the 1000 of degrees.
