Ever gotten sick from a sunburn?
 

Yesterday I spent the day on the lake, boating and swimming.

Long story short, even tho I used sunscreen, and put it on 3 times during the day, I burned my chest and stomach to all hell.

It hurts a lil, but the strange thing is that my stomach has been all funky since, and I've been shitting like I've contracted one of hotrex's STD's. Been really nauseated too. (nauseated? is that right?)

That ever happen to anyone else?

no, but i'd be willing to bet its heat exhaustion. drink some water , you're probly dehydrated

I'm never one to be hesitant to consume fluids... I always have something to drink at my side. I am chuggin on waters and powerade today

yea i got so burned at import wars two months ago i was throwing up. 10 hours without sunscreen sucks. I had huge blisters all over and peeled like a bitch. spf 50 for life now.

generally i burn and immediately after it heals i turn dark as hell.

im not blistered or anything but i was in the sun for a pretty good period of time.

I felt bad coming home from work today and Mom thinks the heat maybe a reasonable cause. I'd believe it man. I still am feeling a little rough. :-\ Hope you feel better.

also some irish, i dont tan, i only burn. when i get burned bud i itch like crazy too its insane. your probly sick from somthing else, like being drunk drining lake water

When to see your doctor
See your doctor:

* if the sunburn is wide------ and severe;
* if the sunburn affects an infant under the age of 18 months;
* if the sunburn blisters are accompanied by chills, fever, nausea or vomiting. Medical attention is needed to prevent dehydration and infection;
* if your eyes are extremely painful or feel gritty. You will need to have your eyes checked by an ophthalmologist (an eye doctor) to determine any damage to the eyes. Corneas are particularly susceptible.

doctors say you should see them for that ----, but dont. They want your money (unless its life threatning). My mom works as a lab technition. When i burned (which in this case was worse than yours) my mom talked to a doctor and they just said lots of water and aloe lotion.

yeah i wouldnt go to a doctor for this...i lived in 100 degree+ central phoenix for two years, i can handle a sunburn...i just thought it was a weird reaction.

sun poisoning my friend, it sucks. its like sunburn with the flu...mainly dehydration and ----, but still sucks, go to the docs or if not, buy some aloe (girls ----, like banana boat, looks like jello) put it in the fridge for a while, get it nice and cold and put that ---- on like once an hour or so, it'll make that ---- go away pretty quick. I had sunburn when i came home from the waterpark last week and pout that on THAT nite and the next morning, i was a LITTLE bit red, not lobster red like I was when I got home

Yea I was going to say sun poisoning, had it before with a bad burn, just drink plenty or whater, use some aloe and maybe take a few tylonel

Down in Mexico I was walking around a 4 ft pool all day just boozing and I declined the use of sunscreen. Needless to say I spent the next 2 weeks taking care of my 2nd degree burns (blisters) on my back and shoulders... now I'm paranoid about skin cancer so I use copious amounts of SPF 45 :y

Only reason I said what I did is because I have been out in the 105 heat index today building fence and doing landscaping at my boss's house.. thought i'd jump on HMT to see what kind of post whoring sinistercrx is doing and who didn't get their ---- shipped from hotrex, and instead people are whining about sunburns.. pisses me off

i was in the sun all day yesterday, boy I tell you, it was hot like a mutha fucka. No sunscreen for me though, I got nature's sunscreen, I'm a darkie :P

yeah im kinda like that once i am already darkened up...the spots like my arms that are already dark wont burn.

100 degrees today, if you work outside...you get used to it. But it does just sound like dehydration, I know at work im pretty much sweating it out as fast as I can drink it.

you dumbass, everyone reacts differently from the sun. Some people bake while others tan. Obviosuly you arent a person who burns too badly. I can be in the sun for two hours and get burned, whereas my friends are outside for twice that and nothing happens.

a while back i thought it would be smart to shave my head the night before a yankee game...got sun poisoning. felt like ----, got real tired, and turned red as a mofo. one good burn and then i tan normally, but this ---- was fucked up (blistered)

red/brown hair + irish + white as hell = sunburn for my dumbass. I will fry within a few hours in the sun.

I went snorkeling and got sunburnt as ----, was down for a couple of days. In the states the sun sucks but it takes a whole day for me to fry. Here in Okinawa, it takes a few hours. -Im now the fat kid at the pool with a white shirt on. Only its a UV protecant shirt for diving/snorkeling. I dont go in the water without it. Swimming, diving, snorkeling...whatever. Always have that fucker on.

have someone put vinigar on you with a cotton ball or a wash rag. dab it on there. Do that and drink tons of water...to the point where your shittin water like its cool. yeah, your gonna stink and your ------- will be sore from shittin so much but its worth it. let the vinegar sit on there until the burn absorbs it...wait about an hour longer then go take a shower.

yeah, i'm irish so i never tan, i juss turn red....went to warped tour yesterday at columbia medows in st. helens, or.(which kicked ass)....and i forgot to put lotion on my face and neck and i was wearing a hat, so now i got a narly burn line....from my eye brows down is red and from eye brows up its nice and white....---- looks funny

I have this thing about my eyes....I ALWAYS wear sunglasses.....and I always get racoon eyes when I burn. :P

I was fine by monday afternoon, started getting sick sunday night.

i have scars and ---- from sunbrn i got 2 months ago, i was very sick for days afterwards.

maybe ill take pics of the scars you can get from sunburn, esecially when you have fair skin.

i know i have cancer, its just a matter of time before i die.
