engine smokes at redline or when i floor it
 

lately my engine started to smoke some when i redline or really floor it , can it be the head ? cause it has been burning some oil ,i add a quart about once a month is that normal ? my engine is up there in miles has about 165,000 ;D

probably cause youve been learning how to burn out and doing other ricey activities which take a toll on your poor motor. must be the awesome power your getting from your jdm intook...

do a compression test to see if its the rings. but it may also be the valve stem seals

i had added some ---- to freshen up the seals but it just smoked alot more,then some one told me to do an oil change and add lucas oil ---- and oil ,i did that it worked for a while but it came back and i want to fix it before i boost

your motor most likely needs rebuild... no ---- you pour into it will magically fix your problems riceboy

anything lower than 150ish is bad and needs a rebuild

There's your problem right there... I think people are probably feeding you ---- advice just to ---- with ya. I'd start doing more research on your own because I'd be a monkey's uncle if anyone anywhere is going to give you a straight answer, ever.

note to self* $5 bottle of gooey ---- your pour in the motor doesnt = rebuild.. got it ::)

just do a comp. test and leak down test. to find out what your comp. should be, just look up the specs on your engine, if it's WAY off, i would worry about it, or if there is ±15-20 difference between any of the cylinders (example, cyl.#1 is 150, cyl. #3 is 135). it could just be your valve guides, but since your burning oil too, prolly need a bottom end rebuild before too long.

na, it won't last as long as it would without boost, but since it needs a rebuild anyways probably, just boost it and have fun until it's time for a rebuild, it's inevitable now.

yeah, I got around 160 across on my 60 000 mile zc, which makes no sense to me, and I'm still gona boost the ---- out of it.

Post in the Right section and your engine wont smoke anymore....Hybrid/Tech

Your smoking because your valves are bouncing off the cam (@high RPMS) and letting oil into your cylinders. Stop being a Ricer with A.D.D. and rebuild your valve train before it slaps your pistons, and we have a real reason to laugh at you
