electric smell?

i just changed my dizzy rotor and cap and now if i drive my car alittle hard it will start to smell like electricity when you butn out an electric motor with to much power. so i have no idea what it is. any ideas?

open up the distributor cap and see if you messed up on the install. did u put the screw back in the rotor "thingy"

there is no screw you just pop it on. its a toyota. meh i have a valve knocking anyway. im about to rip the head off and see if its realy fucked up. pissing me off.

have you checked under you car like the exhaust ? cause i thought my car was on fire one time but it turned out a plastic bag had melted to the exhaust and it smoked and smelled like burned plastic
