Re: electric cars what do u guys think?
there is now a big push for this kind of technology such as the X prize.
the problem is that battery technology isnt what it should be (a123 systems have the best so far) for people to actually want them. but there in is another problem. electricity isnt free, and we are doing our best to cope. this is relatively new technology, and just like the first internal combustion engines or the first airplane, its all new.
eventually solar power will get past 40% max efficiency, and hopefully safer nuclear power will help out our need and eventually, we will figure out how to produce hydrogen cheaply.
the united states needs to get out of a deficit before we should look into anything else.

Oil companies and the government won't benefit from electric cars, they would loose thier asses. That's why we'll never see them. Not because they aren't practical or wouldn't serve a purpose. You could still keep your turbo mustang, but it would cost you a ---- ton less in gas to go to and from work in an electric car. I find it funny that you will defend the government before you'll defend yourself. Get a clue.

Would you consider a supplemental device such as http://www.fuelfromh2o.com/ ?
Hell, they're willing to murder Stanley Meyer because he's willing to bring something to the masses which would result in utter destruction of the oil industry. Hmm, allow technology that would help the world or suppress it in spite of peak oil knowing that we're not far away from $100+/barrel of oil. Freedom for the people or more profits. Difficult decision. They're all *******. http://waterpoweredcar.com/stanmeyer.html
