What are you talking about, you just described the definaition of a democracy, not a republic, read my 3 cluster ***** uptop, a democracy is where everyone has a say in every issue OR elects people to represent them. A republic is a gov't where people elect reps to rep them and make there decisions. According to dictionary.com.

wrong... wrong... right, but not for long...

We could be described as a representative democracy. You almost had it. We could also be described (using a much older definition) as a federal republic.

I first said democratic republic, reverting back to what my high school history teacher and textbook called America. I think that representative democracy is a more accurate description.

Why didn't we do this?....Why didn't we do that? Blah Blah Blah

Well, were doing it now...Taking out threats BEFORE they can do harm to us.

Anyone against a pro-active stance on fighting terrorisim is not thinking clearly. This is the reason we were finally attacked on our own soil- because we didn't do anything about the attacks that happened to us overseas like embassy bombings, our barracks being blown up and many others.

Yes. Lives will be lost in a war. It's a sad fact of life and history has many examples to support this. Have some ***** for God's sake. Sometimes you have to fight.

A lot of today's generation has been lead to believe that you can always "talk things out"...not true. Those radical musslims WANT ALL OF US AMERICANS DEAD and nothing less.

There is not room for both of us in their minds. So wake up.

So vote for someone who will protect this country's lives and interests...Not someone who doesn't even aknowledge that we are living in a post 9/11 era.

Imagine losing your mom, dad, brother or a wife/ husband because those bastards murdered them....I bet you would have
a different opinion then.

I dont like bush but I do understand why we went to war with iraq in a way. However there is no proof that saddam attacked us on 911. So im a bit confused why we went to war was it beacause 911 or to stop terrorism. Im not sure if we found any nukes yet but I do know for a fact saddam treated his people badly and used them for his pleasure. 20/20 had a story on this and he was almost like hitler but against his own people. But after hearing about all this money we are spending on this war it ridiculous. Or economy was hurting before this war and we spend it to fix another country we trashed. We should worry about our own country first before fixing another. We got saddam so what else is there to do over in iraq? there no need to take over it. We did what we wanted move saddam out of iraq.

Your questions would be easily answered if you turn on the news once in a while.

...and It's a war on terrorisim...as a whole. So anyone anywhere who stands in the way of a peaceful world will be removed one way or another.

Removing Saddam has had positive effects...look at Lybia. Full discosure and dismantlement of their Nuclear weapons program. This is how we found out about Pakistan's chief nuclear scientist selling technical information on nuclear development to N. Korea, Iran and Lybia.

A democratic Iraq will be a Shining light for all who live in that region to see and understand how freedom works. Nation building takes time. Be patient.

A free society is a peaceful society. Do you see how it is beneficial?

We need to look at the BIG picture, not just the small events that make it up. All of the things that are happening are part of a larger, long term plan to create a more stable world.

Also, don't forget that Saddam had many chances over many years to come clean.... It was HIS choice and he did not do it. So we took much needed action.

Edit: Sorry Dragon. I meant no offense.

Ok buddy what are you talking about. I never said I didn't know why we went to war or the good of it. Read my post again please. And We can make a country free by letting them do it themselves now we have brought saddam down which he deserved. There is no reason for us to assimalate them in our ways on how we view a country should be. Lets give them a choice now they have freedom.

How is it the United States' responsibility to create a "stable and peaceful" world. How is it any of our business what goes on in Iraq. Saddam was doing stuff to his own people yes, are we going to go into every country in the world to stop them from doing wrong to their own people? Terrorism and Saddam persecuting his people are two different things. Does anybody know about the awful living conditions in every third world country because of dictators and money hungry governments? Are we going to go into there because we don't like it? Iraq committed no act of terror on the United States. If we are going to waste money going into Iraq where is it going to stop? Honestly, where are we going to stop?
