Re:EGAY Strut/Tie Bars

I got this for my new EG8. It's a knock off Moooogen FST but it's burley as hell and looks nice with the bare SS look and welds still showing. It's a little more than the other egay bars but there's no pivot points and I couldn't even flex it pulling on it under my knee.

guess i have to break out the welder once i get them tightened down and take away those "pivot points".

Now what type of pivot points are we talking about as bad. Side to side or up and down? I know for the lower tie bars if they can go up and down when the holes are vertical its fine. For the upper ones thats a problem. Mabey then I'll have to replace the top ones with quality parts, but I would probley end up doing that anyways.

The lower ones are fine to have pivot and adjusment points. The upper ones, Tower bars, can't have em. Ideally you want to have to use a sledge hammer to get em over the studs.

Yeah. I think I'll order um up and then see what the joints look like. I'll probley intall up loose then see if I can lay a nasty bead in and around those joints to see If I can lock um in place.

I think you better off just buying the quality part.

I would but I am on a very tight budget right now.
Pretty much I have 400 bucks to finish my turbo set up and do a little bit more brake and suspension work.
