Default Eclipse internals

Is there a difference in internals for a 97 eclipse GS and the GST.

Are they the same motor and forged pistons and all that or not.

the GS is the dodgibishi engine (420a) non-turbo designed by mitsu and manufactored by dodge.

the GST is the 4g63t, the power plant that has been in lots of the DSM's. This engine is turbo and is designed and manufactored by mitsu, and is nothing like the 420a.

Both engines dont use forged pistons, just normal cast pistons

As far as which is a 5 bolt/6bolt not sure, but I think the later 4g63's are more prone to crank walk.

You should look into the SRT-4 neon motor !!!

A 95' mistu RS with the SRT4 would run 13's easy !! STock !! I'm sure the new engine wouldn't be cheap...

You need to talk to "hahn racecraft"
