Had the racing beat carb setup and junk. I still have it, the motor is just sitting out of the car. I can't decide what to do with it, put it back in with a different carb setup or sell it. I had everything to turbo it and sold it all. It had megasquirt all ready and programmable for it and all. Oh well, makes me sad. It hasn't moved for 8 months.

I've always wanted an RX-7 either an FC or the one before it, but nobody ever has good prices on them. They tend to pull a premium around here (probably everywhere). I'll just stick with my CRX and be happy.

i had 3 RX-7's and i loved every one of them and they were awsome cars, they had problems like any car does, and most of it, like any other car, was from the previous owner neglecting it and then selling it when something goes wrong

and im sorry but the tranny failing in any series N/A RX-7 is not true, the trannys on the 12A's are pretty strong, the GSL-SE trannys are pretty strong, and theres one more that i know of, i just cant think of it right now
and your motor must have been pretty close to shitting before the thermostat stuck, i overheated my GSL-SE, it had 310K original miles on the motor, and i drove it with the needle pegged for a while before noticeing, got home, let it cool down, put in some oil and coolant, fired that baby right back up and went cruiseing, good as new with no problems what so ever
if you buy brand new parts from a dealer then yes there expensive, just as any other car's will be, that's why i said there cheap if you know where to look

lEGEND that's a very good platform to start with, and in great shape on the outside at least, good find it's not as heavy as some of the others so dont worry about weight too much, the convertables are the boats (i had one but i still loved it because it was a convertable )
