Default drivetrain problem

ok, ive pulled out my tranny like 4 times trying to fix this ---- and im not exactly sure what it is.

i bought a new motor from nippon motors
i put it in with the clutch that was on it
tryed to drive it
the clutch burned up real bad let go started smoking car went in reverse with no problem realy
orderd a new clutch threw it in forgot to grease inside of the race of the throwout bearing
had to pull the tranny out again
fixed that now car feels great in reverse, but the clutch slips like ------- crazy in all forward gears.

the only thing i could think of is maybe someone had the flywheel turned out way to far for the clutch to grab
i have another flywheel sitting around and i can throw it back on. but i want some opinions before i pull the tranny out for the 4th/5th time

its the right clutch, didint check the step. dont have anything to do so. should i take one of my flywheels/clutch/presure plate to a transmission place and have them check it?

depends on the size of step, I did mine with a strait edge and feeler gauges, what car/engine? My friend put a disc in backwards and it rode on the flywheel bolts a little and slipped bad

if it moves fine in reverse i highly doubt it is the flywheel/clutch

you can smell the clutch start to burn from its slipping though and the tranny was fine on the old motor
