On a GM, that is where the intake is, BUT like i was saying, I dont think the 'increase' in performance would overcome the aerodynamic drag that a gaping hole in your front would cause. The only way that would be beneficial would be if the headlight was replaced with a filler piece the same shape as the light, but w/ a hole cut for the fresh air to enter the air box. Kind of like on the import drag racers and ---- they have a spot where they have a pipe come out to get air, but there is no gaping hole around it, so it does have a working ram air effect. (think of an integra w/ the high beam removed, and a pipe placed instead of it, that would work, as long as there is no gap around the pipe to the body)
