Johnny, he'll keep just enough military/government investigating to get the job done efficiently. The fact is that when the FBI and the CIA fail to do thier job and stop things like 9/11 (when they had enough information to do so, but just weren't competant) we get another agency to pay for called Homeland Security. I'm sure once all 3 of them fail to do thier jobs we'll get a 4th, and a 5th, etc...... How stupid are we to realize we fund agencies to do a job, and when they fail we have to pay for another one? i agree with you... about the bases around the world. we need them in some places, i think we can take them out of europe. but its all a part of a broad security deal. if we were to leave all our bases in europe and war broke out, we would have to take europe again...

The only broad security we need to worry about, is from border to border. Those are the "property lines" of the country our military is sworn to protect.
Clinton may have gutted the CIA, but the information was in out there that planes could be used. They just didn't put 2+2 together. Now, when an attack is reported as thwarted by the CIA, it's all over the news. As if doing thier job and getting it right is this noble thing. I shake my head and say, "that's what we pay them to do". Now, we can't stop every last thing that's planned against us, but we can put our military around the globe back on our soil to protect us, and take away the reason why most other countries see us as a threat. We can also come back to the conclusion that the constitution doesn't allow the government to take American citizens' money, and send it to another country without our consent. We'd save a ---- ton of money more, and again, take a large reason off the table of why middle eastern countries don't like us. You fund my enemy, and I'm ------ your mama too.

What DON'T we have a hand in? The history of our CIA in the middle east is vast. Look into it. ----, grown men can't even use growth hormones that aren't illegal without the President commenting on it. As if it's any of his (or our) damn business what contract they have with thier bosses of what they can and can't do. I voice my opinion by not paying for thier product. Simple as that. Instead we cover the Presidents opinion on the subject as if that's any kind of story with the other ---- going on in the world.
The government creates easy money in the 90's, and people buy houses they can't afford. Then the government comes to the rescue, making the rest of us pay for thier mistake. Same thing with healthcare creating mandates that cost up the ***, and then claiming to save the day when they tout universal healthcare. They've got thier hands in every god damn thing going on, and what they should be doing is building a military, and nothing more.
It's kinda like saying you hate the police because they have a better job than you. If they left you (and others) alone unless you/they were committing a crime, would you have a problem with them? No.
What really pisses me off is the truth in Ron Pauls statement when he said, "We pay to bomb bridges in a foriegn country, then we pay to rebuild them, while our own bridges are falling."
