Doing Lexan Windows?

Default Doing Lexan Windows?

I know atleast a couple guys have done them on here so just lookin for some advice best material and most accurate way to cut the material. This is for my 1st gen crx all motor drag car I know all motor sucks. Thanks

don't take the plastic ---- off till your done cutting it are you gona drape form it?

lexan is real hard to cut.

Well I was thinking the bandsaw would be the best but what style blade do I use dont want to melt it nor crack it

I did my sunroof with just a jigsaw and a metal blade. It came out pretty decent, you will have to use a nice file to round the edges so it looks good. And yes leave the plastic on when your cutting it.

Got a 4' by 4' sheet for $35 shipped from either aircraftspruce or whatever their competitor is. Other places on the interweb wanted $jack$, as did Homeboy Depot, and Lowes locally only carries heavyweight shatter-y plexiglass.

FYI, the CRX's rear hatch got discreetly sawzalled and lexaned, weighs in at 16 lbs 9 oz. Looks close enough to stock most ppl wouldn't notice.
