i was wondering if anyone knew the website where you can take your home phone number,off the telemarketers list cus they get annoying.

Yeah its real. We used it for our home phone and almost never get called anymore.

 

how do i know when its working cus i haven't gotten anything in my e-mail.

 

---- that, i got that in an email from a co-worker stating that the telemarketers are re- upping their lists or some ----, i registered my cell phone on that list and now get several calls a day from some ethiopian bitch trying to sell me something. i only registered mine just to see what would happen, i worked as a telemarketer for years and there is no such thing as a do not call list, they aren't supposed to call you but what are you going to do ? file a complaint?

 

as a telemarketer you can be fined over ten thousand dollars for making unsolicited phone calls to those on the do not call list. Tell the telemarketer that you have already given their company warnings, and that if you are called again prosecute. If they call back, I would totally take legal action!

 

i usually tell them to take me off their list and they try to continue their convo with me.

 

thats what they're paid and trained to do, just be firm when you say "take me off your list, I will prosecute etc" and hang up - why even give them a chance to go further?

 

that's the best way i do it cus sometimes they won't listen and call right back after i hang up.that's why i wanted to get my # on that list.
