my buddy has an original dodge caravan 2.2L turbo model. it's ------- sick.

Aha! S4RE (SOHC, 4-valve, Rear-Exhaust). Some say the blocks are identical and Mistubishi just turned the head 180-degrees, but wtf do I know :P

"I've worked on enough to hate them" - yup. It's just the only car I have to work on right now :-\ with the engine in good condition (stock DOHC 5sp) I ran 15.9 in the quarter mile with no mods. I think they are a good sleeper for the little money you pay. 160WHP now and a little faster than 15.9 ;)

But...then you still just have a neon ;D

THeres actually a guy on the srt forums who got the srt4 engine{sorry not up on my mopar engine codes :(} into the older gen neon.

I forgot to mention it has indiglo gauges and a B&M short throw shifter. The poor bastard couldn't afford to have the engine replaced, so it sat in his driveway for a year until his "mommy" made him get rid of it. It looks like it's going to be an easy car to turbo. There's like a foot between the back of the motor and the firewall. The only hard part is going to be running piping. I'm either going to have to put the battery in the trunk or relocate it somehow to have somewhere to run the piping. I will keep updating this post as it progresses!
