Dodge Freeon

Never heard of a Freeon? Me neither untill a guy at the local steel yard gave me a 96 Neon with 76K on it for free. Thats what makes it a Freeon. The good news is its a 2.0 DOHC 5 speed car with all the rice boy addons, projector beam headlights, alteza taillights clear side markers and a HUGE chrome muffler. The bad news is it has a rod through the block. I found a 9K motor for $650 so that fixes that. I plan on turboing it and selling it on Ebay. I will do the write up and post pics on here as I go.

**UPDATE**
here are the pics as promised:

I forgot to mention it has indiglo gauges and a B&M short throw shifter. The poor bastard couldn't afford to have the engine replaced, so it sat in his driveway for a year until his "mommy" made him get rid of it. It looks like it's going to be an easy car to turbo. There's like a foot between the back of the motor and the firewall. The only hard part is going to be running piping. I'm either going to have to put the battery in the trunk or relocate it somehow to have somewhere to run the piping. I will keep updating this post as it progresses!

I dated a chic with a neon RT and that thing would haul ass! NICE.....dump like 2G's into it and you could make a decent profit on it.

My ex g/f Lindsey had a mid 90ish green 4 door neon 5 speed. That thing was a POS, I used to do so much work on it, like every single part fails by 60k miles.. A/C, thermostat, o2 sensor.. everything sucked on it. Good thing she wrecked that fucker out.

What's the motor in that thing? Something like a 420a? I forget, but they are very ------- common, I think you can swap over the RS/GS eclipse motors into those things.. maybe?

But ----, free is always a great word, you can make money just parting that bitch out.. for some reason rice boys love those cars as much as they love cavaliers, escorts/focus, and civics.

I saw a rice boy in a red neon today, white stripes, had an "SRT-10" emblem on the side.. on the highway it merged from two lanes to one, I killed him..

in a 1994 Dodge Caravan. ;)
