Do you have a car payment?

I'm just curious to see how many of us cheap, poor bastards have car payments. :l

List your payment amount if you do have one. Mine is $547/month. :3

buying a car with a 550 payment better be a real expensive car, or thats pretty ghetto. but I pay 200 for my 98 s10

How could that be ghetto? ??? It's a truck and it's costing me far too much money. I'm contemplating selling it so I can be "room-mateless". I'd like to find something with a payment under $300 or just pay cash for something and not have a payment. :l

Re: Do you have a car payment?

I think my wifes 00 Sentra is $3xx something a month with insurance. The stealth shuttle is paid for, but it's just a pile of metal at this point, and my only other payment is on my work van, which is $2xx something a month. I hate car payments. My wife is a yuppie, so she has to have a little somethin somethin, but if it weren't for my business needing a work van, I'd drive every $400 pile of ---- I could find.

Its a nice truck but I say sell it. Having a nice place is far more important than having a nice car. Get something reliable and is good for you and worry about getting a nice place. It would suck to get rid of a nice truck like that but if your priority is to have a nice place than buy a house and invest your money in something that appreciates in value unlike a car. and BTW my car is paid off :-*

Re: Do you have a car payment?

yeah, I've got a car payment...on several cars

508 on my truck
330 on my wife's car
98 on my 98 ex (interest only loan until i sell it)
109 on a car that i just sold an haven't paid off yet
but I have the hatch paid for...one payment and it was done.

If you can finance it, you can afford it. My mommy doesn't buy me cars like yours does so I have no choice.

I can afford my truck, I just don't want to. With a payment of $550/month and gas at $2.29/gallon and 9mpg I'm paying way more than I want to be paying on a vehicle. :S

Re: Do you have a car payment?

I pay $230 a month for the Stealth, my wife's Accord and my E-150 are paid off. And in a week or two, I'm swapping the E-150 for a Focus Wagon *ugh*, but I need better mileage and still have some storage space for work.

No payments here. My crx was $3K and my Jeep was $500. My insurance went down when I added the Jeep too :)

But if you inclue the credit card debt for all the car parts I've bought in teh past few years......its around 6K...Should be paid of this year.

Re: Do you have a car payment?

i own my integra now, but it was like 197/mo.

my next car ill try and keep the payments between 250 and 300.

when it comes to ---- like this, i wold rather know what percentage of their income is spent on a car.

dragon 01-08-2006 12:08 PM

Re: Do you have a car payment?
