Its looks like it might be light, anybody know anything about this car? or worked on one? Ive been looking for a cheap car

From '85 until '89 you can find Subaru's fastest engine, the 1.8L EFI turbocharged 4cyl. It would propel all body styles with 115hp and 134ftlb of torque. Now this engine definitely feels more powerful, and it has a nice growl to it the other engines don't. I was blessed with this engine in 3 of my cars, and enjoyed it immensely. If you want the most performance you can get in a boxy mid-eighties Subaru and don't mind some reliability issues, this is the engine for you.

AWD and turbo is like saying a nice booty and boobies on a woman. I think those are pretty sweet. 1650 is a little pricey for a old ass sube though.

I used to have a wagon with an automatic. I pulled off the whole exhaust and it seemed to work pretty good. On dry pavmant it would break the tires loose and engage the AWD at like 4000. It had a blown headgasket too. I seem to think the WG line on mine might have been missing or somthing because they arent supposed to be that fast.

$1650 seems a little much unless its showroom condition though. One of mine was free and the other I got for doing some yard work (this was quite a while ago though)

i have the station wagon version of this but its not a turbo. been looking for a turbo loyale coupe though. tough as hell to find!

I love those things. IIRC, they came with a V6's and turbo flat 4's. the ONLY place I ever see them is the junk yard. The steering wheels are Michael Knight Tight.

How about all th other controls on those giant "stalks" that come out of the steering coloum.. Im kinda surprised theres ni digital dash. One of my wagons was digital.
