I usually go fishing when i go on vacation down to North Carolina in Lake Gaston, any one ever been there?? It is not a very popular place but pretty large and good fishing and its really nice down there. Other then that i fish in the chesapeake bay.

I know where Gaston lake is. I fish that occasionally with my pops. He lives lake front on Keer lake though which isn't far from Gaston, so Keer lake is where i fish at mostly.

Went bass fishing this weekend. Between me and the old man we caught 11 fish Saturday.

how long were you out and what bait do you use?

How many people use live bait compared to artificial??

All artificial bait here. We caught most on 10 inch red shad worms or crank baits. My father caught a few on the pop r. I can't lie though my father cost most of the fish, 7 of them at that.

we just put an inch of water in the bottom of a pot and let it simmer/boil. takes 15 minutes or so, break open and dip in butter

yea we do the same for maryland blue crabs but we also put vinegar in with he water and put old bay on them and we dont usually dip in anything, you should try cooking those crabs that way it is the maryland way and very good.
