i wudnt have subs without a box.. and if i had subs in a box it would be in my trunk. it would also be a padded box.. so it doesnt sound like ----..

i dont mind a little bass when i listen to korn

but you can ---- up a rock song too easilly with too much bass..

also, i hate rap..

i have 1 12'' quantom audio sub in a ported box. and a 1000x2 volfenhag amp. 92 civic fo do. i point mine at the back. it sounds good for rap, but when i listen to rock (most the time) i have to turn the bass all the way down just to sound a little closer to how it should.

stuffing ---- inside the box to make it sound better. like fushing cotton down the ports. when i got my box, i pulled the sub out and about 18 cows fell out. some ------ seriously cut up like 10 pillows and stuffed them in it.

Mine were facing to the rear when I had subs, oh and remember guys I have a trophy for "best sound system", so I know what I am taking about lol. :P

Don't matter. If you look at sound wave patterns bass is non-directional it just goes everywhere no real direction. What causes it to sound better or worse is the amount of air available for it to push around and if it doesn't just suck *****. Digital designs FTW
