did a little work this weekend...
well, the story behind this 91 crx si, is that my buddy got it from free with just some front end body damage (hood, bumper, fenders) and a busted ignition. it was stolen and wrecked. a kid that my buddy knows, bought it, but never fixed it, he got evicted where he was living and had no where to keep it, so he told my buddy he coule HAVE it if he got it towed from the mirrors back is mint, no rust, no dings, black in color. interior is not bad at all, i'll get some more pics of it. my buddy doesn't know much about honda's, he use to have a vtec sol about 6 yrs ago and it was teh hotness back then when rice was cool, so i'm taking him under my wing for this project as i explained to him "to a honda enthusiast, a crx is the holy grale", and a famous hmt quote "stupid people aren't allowed to own crx's, it's sacreligious". he has the funds, he just lacks time, so it may take a while. he has new fenders, hood, and bumper, and he got a jdm d15b on thursday, so i went over ther friday to rip the d16 out....

my first time working on a crx, so this is a fun experience for me, there's so much room with these ******* when you remove the radiator and support, i pulled it out by myself, usually it takes one person on the hoist and one person maneuvering the chains when the engine gets hung up on something, lol, i didn't even have to take the hood off, or the dp
dirty as ----!
once again, dirty as ----! btw, where is the resistor box suppose to be? i'm really not sure, like i said, this is my first pre obd1 experience.
there's no rust at all in this ******! i told him he's lucky as ---- and all the paint in the bay is still glossy, just dirty as ---- right now.
teh old snotness
teh noo jdm d15b...
all in all, it's gonna turn out very nice! i went over there last night for a few and showed him how to clean up the engine bay and how to fill in his motor mounts with poly urethane. we're gonna clean the hell out of the new jdm block and i'm rewrapping his wiring hanress in new wire loom ---- b/c it's dirty and old and cracked, and hopefully drop it in thursday. it should look very, very clean! then we're gonna wire up the obd1 wiring, throw the body parts on and throw it in the paint shop. i will definitely be updating you guys. just to let you know, the rex is in good hands, he was thinking about buying z3 fenders, buddy club front end, and a cf hood with scoop, since "they're the same price as factory parts", i sat him down and had a long talk with him and explained that things have changed since he was in to imports, and just hold my hand and trust me and you'll than, me later :P

he's kind of in a hurry to get it back on the road, but in time, it will be a nice car, he has plenty of funds, so it will just be a matter of time. ----, the car for free, d15b for 500, body parts for 200, new ign. w/key for 50. can't beat a near mint si with a jdm d15 for 750 bucks :P

no way, imo, there's nothing better looking than a nice clean, factory looking swap in an older car, if the engine bay was trashed and rusted and fluxored, i'd say ---- it, but it's flawless without a spec of rust, it deserves better than a dirt swap
