Detailed: 2004 Toyota Tacoma (Red)

Well, it's nice to be using my camera again! This one belongs to one of my local bankers here in Blue Ridge. I've done some repo's for him and the bank in the past. This Tacoma will be given to his son, tomorrow, for his 16th birthday. I did more on this one than I should have but I had nothing else today and I wanted to learn Menzerna's Nano (106) some more. Here's the process........... Wash Cycle: NXT Tech Wash & Purple Power Pre-Wash (20 oz. of wash and 12 oz of the degreaser applied via foam gun) This mix is my go-to pre-soak. It works well at cleaning bugs, tires, and rims. I let the foam soak for 5 minutes and then rinse. I follow with a DP Four -in- One rinseless wash. Drying is handles by a Guzzler. Tires, Wells, & Engine Bay: (Armor All Tire Foam after cleaning foam) The bay, wells, and tires were coat in Armor All Tire foam and let sit. The engine was the started and let run for 20 minutes to bake. The tires and trim were then treated to a coat of Armor All Tire Gel. Looked nice on the fender flares. Paint Correction: Menzerna's PO106ff (Applied with Cyclo and EDGE2K Yellow Pads) Today was an experiment to try to handle the dusting that comes with this awesome polish. I first wet the pads with a QD mix of Four -in- One. I rubbed the solution into the pad. I then put two, tiny drop of PwS onto each pad. I rubbed this into the pad by hand as well. Ok. On to polishing now. When I came to each section of the truck (door panel, hood, etc.), I would use ONE dime sized drop of 106 per Cyclo pad (it has two pads). Guess what? No dusting and the polished wonderful abilities were not hindered at all! I want someone else to try this out and give me some feed back with this process. Use your own QD too. This polish is simply awesome. I don't see me using anything else for a long time. Paint Protection: Poorboy's EX (Applied with Cyclo and EDGE2K White Pads) I've had a sample of this for a while now (thanks supercharged) and have not used it. Someone told me I needed to try it out on red so here goes. Wow! The carnauba in EX really made it the red deepen and appear wet. Reminded me a lot of Souveran liquid. I'm pretty happy with this LSP. I will have to use up the remaining amount so I can get more! The interior was in perfect shape. No pics required for it. Just a vacuum and wiped down. Looks good, that truck should last him for quite awhile as long as he doesn't do typical stupid 16 year old ---- with it.

Do you have any specific products you use for black trim that has faded on the exterior?

I've always heard not to spray the engine as you run the risk of shorting something like the alt. Do you do anything special to avoid this or do you just let 'er rip?
