Decisions decisions....
Well on my work today my car started acting funny then just bogging out like it wasn't getting fuel then just died out and wouldn't start. Would crank and everything but no luck. Lucky enough my mom and stepdad were behind like a mile or two and noticed me. So I left the Z on the side of the highway and they gave me a ride to work. My stepdad is really cool and I've known him my whole life and is into older domestics cars and ---- so he happens to have a car hauler so he picked up my car later on and dropped it back at my house. So I call my wife to come pick me up tonight and she was telling me that someone left a note on the car if I wanted to sell it or trade it for a running car and cash. He didn't what kind of car but left a phone number and said he was really interested in the car. I never really thought of selling it but money is kinda tight right now with my wife going full time to college even during the summer cause she's nerdy like that and only works like 12 hours a week at her internship through the city at a accountant assistant. So with having 3 cars of my own and having to deal with gas and insurance and registration on all of them including my wifes car. It gets pretty costly. So I'm thinking about selling the Z. I'm gonna call him tomorrow and see what he has to offer and tell him if I did sell it I would keep the seat and wheels since more likely I doubt he can fit in the seat and I can use the wheels on the corolla and become a wheel -----. I only paid 1200 for the car last year and it needs some work. He said he's buy it running or not so he's REALLY interested in it.

I've been where you are, having 3 cars registered/insured at the same time. It's an unneccessary expense at that point, althought it is fun. Call him and see what he has to offer.
Even if you wouldn't dream of getting rid of it, I would check it out. Everything in this world has a price.

seriously, try to get a couple grand more than you put into it Sell it with the tims, add the cost of the rims and tires +200.
I'd say only consider selling the car if you get a minimum of 1500 for it minus whatever and a mimimum of 2500 for it as is, although I'd shoot for 3-4k maybe 3.5k.
May sound like a lot of money, but if the man is serious, he knows what it is and will pay a premium. I do this ---- all the time, not with cars though. Call him up, ask him his offer report back without giving him a definite answer, unless it's a horrible lowball. Post up his offer, and we could see what kind of person he is (money wise).
Sorry for the long post, but the car is a beauty and it would suck to sell it, but if you do sell it, you might as well get the better end of the bargain.

I would say sell it. thats a bad *** car, but I think that hatchie will become one sexy beast very shortly. not to mention you can come across another Z, and with the F&F movie, you probably could make a nice dime or 2 on the hatchie within a few months and get another Z. then your really out on top.

It's still honda rice around here so as for the 86 if I were to ever sell it someone would have to make a drive from like Milwaukee cause there's only 1 other hachi thats very slightly done up and that's it. I like like the Z but it's just getting too expensive with 2 older project cars and unlike honda's parts, I have to find stuff online and nothing locally since noone has the ---- on hand. If he can give me 2000 for the car minus the rims and seat I'd take it. I'll give him a call in awhile and see what he has to offer and check back in to let you guys know.
