I stopped being "a little girl" today by accident. I reinstalled my 450's and got all the pipes attached that I got in the mail the other day to start boosting again. Well, I was playing with the manual boost controller and turned it too much and hit 14psi today by accident and blew off a charge pipe. The map sensor didn't throw a code, must not have been boosting long enough?

That's my story, I backed the boost controller off and let the spring in the tial take over. 6psi spring, by the time the wastegate opens, the boost gauge only reads 4.9psi.. oh well, better safe than sorry.

Moral of the story... 14psi felt great. ;D

what motor do you have? if it's the b16 soon you, projekteg, and I will all have boosted b16s, we'll have e-races together.

i though since your factory spring is 6lbs you could only double the boost to 12lbs max with a mbc?

nope.. you can go pretty high with it.

You can set whatever boost you want with a manual boost controller. All it does is restrict the amount of air that your wastegate sees.

I have a boosted b18 LS motor. I post some short video clips, but the sound and video sucks.

when you said it sucks I was thinking, alright, maybe it's a little off, then I see that ---- and holy ---- if I were do to my burnout vid with that quality people wouldn't even know whether or not I did a good one because they would be so confused with their life.

why don't you raise the boost to like 10 or something, that's still being a -----, but at least it's a little less ----- than 5 psi. :P you can run 5 psi on a stock engine with no fuel managment, you have a built engine with uberdata, i don't get you ??? the map sensor doesn't throw a code with uberdata from what i understand, you can boost as much as you want, it just stops registering after like 12 psi. i've never thrown a map code with it.
