Dead Tranny
My Tranny died.
bearing were already rattling etc... I put in my new clutch Specialties clutch some of the ratling stopped due to the new release bearing(the old one was in need of replacement). But there still was som rattling now and then. Well on of my oil seals gave up it was leaking oil and today.....well all the oil came out and you know what happens to bad bearings with no oil...even good bearing with no oil wouldn't live trhue it.
New tranny is on the way....and I will open up the tranny to check the damage if it is cheap to repair e.a. replace bearings and seals....I'll go for it and weld the differential and use the tranny for the strips.

Man, I've been trying to kill the tranny in my Si for so long. It's been grinding 2nd. I've got a spare tranny from an 88. Rev it up and dump the clutch, shift without using the clutch (I usually grind it at least once a day) I've done 10k on it so far like this and if anything it grinds 2nd less. How do you guys kill your trannies so easilly?

Nawww, just put a space saver on one front tire and a 17 on the other side and do an e-brake burnout. Shift through until your speedo reads about a buck-o-five and see how long until your diff explodes and sets the gear oil on fire. Or just do the cramming into reverse thing, that usually gets 'em. Just be sure it doesn't hook up and break your crank or something.
