Day InThe Life Of an Unknown (Hood Style)

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...lxchukdice.jpg

There they were, just having a ghetabulous time shooting dice. Thuggin and hangin like all good inner city hoodlums
Along comes an unknown Negro "wanting in" on the dice.

Our entrepenural pair quickly break him off some and leave his pockets on flat. Out of money, the unknown says he's got other tangibles and wages his sport bikes.
http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...dchukdice2.jpg

Being the savvy innercity gamblers they are, our ghetto pair quickly roll 7's back to back and leave the unknown broke and bikless!
Look at the happy hoodlums!
http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...hukdicegix.JPG

Out riding through "Da Hood", on their newly acquired sport bikes (hey gotta show the Homies the come ups)
Guess who they run into Frontin
http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl.../thadesco1.JPG

Quyickly switching back to "HOOD" tactics, our fabulous pair decide why not!?
http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...chukprowl1.JPG

Well before our unknown "Bawler" recognizes the threat, he's subdued.

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...scojakthad.jpg

Our happy hoodlums take over the Esco and leave hapless "Bawler" stuckout

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...adafterjak.JPG

What is it the new owners of the luxury vehicle do first you maybe asking yourself. DO they lay low and wait for the heat to die down? Do they "chop" the vehicle up and sell the parts on the internet (we all know that's not going to happen. Only computers being used in "da hood" are all inside police cruisers!) Will they put the vehicle on ice and hide it out until they can change the numbers?
They Do None Of The Above!
They do what all Real Gangsta's do, they post up and take jailhouse pictures!

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...xtopstang1.JPG
What real thug doesn't have pit bulls in "Da Hood"

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...k/chukpose.jpg
!!!-------------- Two Months Later ------------------!!!

What doe we have here

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...k/thadlude.JPG

Seems our Unknown "Bawler" has something esle to drive and it's sitting on some fat Bling Bling

http://home.earthlink.net/~my50ainsl...hadludejak.JPG

You'd think our unknown "bawler" would learn by now!

Actually he lives right next door!
He's one of the best neighbors I have ever had.
We all had a lot of fun making it.

I'm sorry my choice of rims for my hoo-doo are not to your liking. But seeing as how I could give a rats ass about a Honda for more then anything outside of day to day drudgery, I think they look just fine. They are 17" so they fill up the wheel well. They are chrome so they are easy to clean. I got them with tires for a good price.
Not to mention, I'm sure the rims on my Escalade are worth the price OF YOUR CAR ;)

Dude not trying to trip but................Judgeing by the 1/4 mile times that are posted in the thread at the top of this forum. I don't get why most of you think that any of your cars are fast. Be it a Probe, Honda, Mitsubishi whatever. All the BOOSTED 13 and 14 second times reported in that thread are laugahble at best.
I wouldn't be surprised if thoise automatic Probes were just as fast (and I use that term loosely) as your car.
Anything less then 11.5's on decent rubber cannot be considered a fast street car (Especially here in Houston)

most people on here don't have good jobs, which means they have no money, which means mods are limited, so for what most people have into there cars, 13 seconds is quick. For example I'm 17(my birthday was like 2 days ago) and I'm more the 90 percent close to having a 13 second car. maybe i na couple years i'll have a real job and have a ten second car, and do it all up F and F styles.

Naah, not even close. I have plenty of tire. the rims are only 22's, so I was able to run a bit taller sidewall then if I had of went with 24's. the reason the look so large is becasue I lowered the rear 3" and the front 2"
Hell I use the esco for towing with the drop and big rims

Boy, this post has had the opposite effect of what I was hoping for on here. I thought you young guys would laugh and get a hoot.

No, i thought it was funny but i'm just not into the flashy bling bling. I don't see the value in bling. Don't see why you should spend 10 times the money on something that the stock rims do. Just my opinion.

Trust me I understand the lack of ends when you're young. I'm twice your age so I'm suppose to be a bit better off.
What I don't understand is why you'd choose to try and make a fast car (on a tight budget or no budget) out of something that is horribly slow from the factory ???

If I had little to no money but had an attraction to speed. A small displacement 4 pot would not be my choice of weapons. Especially when you factor in the price of parts to try and make it somewhat powerful.
But hey each his own. I was once 18 and lowly Air Force Airman (E-1, bottom of the totem pole in the military). I had like no money and even less sense ( I was 18, Ranger Qualified and in the best shape in the world!). In 1988 all I wanted was a Mustang G. T. but my credit and wallet said 1987 CRX. Lord knows there was no such thing as Honda performance parts back then and even less interest in installing any that were available.
I was happy as shyt when that car got totaled by a driver under the influence. I got my first Mustang (it was slow as sin, though that 14.7 sure seemed fast to me back then) and haven't looked back since!

the escalade rims are fine. i ment the ones on the white car. they look like something out of a food processor.

Dude each his own. The rims and tires cost me alot less then you probably paid for your last set of tires (trust me I know the game well)
If I had of paid an arm and a leg (which i didn't. I even got the 22's with Pirellis Zeros for 3100 installed) I'm at a point in life where I can do that.
My Mustang is paid for and full of performance goodies now (Heads, Cam, Intake, turbo set-up etc....)
The Gixxer was paid for the day it left the Suzuki dealership. The Prelude is just my old daily beater that gets me from point A to Point B with ICE COLD A/C (seriously important here in South Texs!).
It was $300 wreck I bought a few years ago. I massaged it back to health and think it's a great looking/ruynning little Hoo-Doo. ;D

lol, I'm with you on mustangs, the only problem is in this day and age, the cost of gas, my 4 cylinder has very good fuel milage and I can make plenty of power and still use the car as a daily driver. Civics are super slow from the factory, but it's actually really really cheap and easy to make one pretty fast. almost everything is well documented on the net and parts are easy to find and inexpensive for the year and generation civic I own, with my current budget for gas/insurance/mods/car/looks I would probly buy another civic again, I expect to have a 13 second car for a combined total of 3000 dollars(including the cost of the car) and still get 33 mpg.

Everyone here should know that there are easier ways to go fast than starting with a honda. Once you get into it though, it just makes you not care. I realize that I could have bought a mustang and been faster with the same amount of money invested, but (for me at least) it's the satisfaction that I created something, I took a slow ass piece of ----, and made it run with camaro's and mustangs.

It is also because we're in a different class as your "fast cars." Just like a stock mustang would be in a room full of modded porches and ferraris.

It's not about the actual time itself, it's about the relationship of our time compared to others in our classes. if that makes any sense.

Plus, if I was driving a 11 second car I would probably be dead right now.
