Damage report in!
ok so I turboed my 97 civic this last september or so. I put a 89 crx si d16a6 in her, It's all I had and it was basily free. So the car runs pretty good for a few months. till about end of feb or begining of march. acting like I blew the head gasket. so I change that only to find out, after a hg change compression is only 50psi on cyl 4. OUCH! so I say screw it. run it for about 500mi and swap a y7 in that i got for 50$. I finaly we over to my friends house where the motor was and pulled it apart to check the damages. and here they are.
this is probably the worst case of blown ringlands I have ever seen.with out breaking a rod or complety melting the piston.

Re: Damage report in!
I don't really think they did get hot. there are not signs of damage on the tops of them no piting just a little carbon build up from bruing oil for a while.I think a combo of 200miles on the motor and 12-14psi got to it. the tune was pretty good I think. and I really have not beat on it that much. just the ocational pulls from say 40-100 or so.
