Dale Earnhart- Legend, or cock gobblin?
Watching the Dale Earnhart special on CMT. I never payed any attention, but the dude has battles cutting people off, and once they pass him, he spins em. Seems like a shitbag to me. It's good his son seems to have a sportsmanship type quality that doesn't allow him to spin people when they beat him.

::Disclamer::i dont like nascar racing. i think its stupid. but i respect fast cars and out of the box thinking::Disclamer:: but anyway, he was a good driver. although, to me there isnt much skill in only turning left. there is more to say for the crew cheif. setting up a car to only turn left is very difficult. everywheel is setup differently unlike a road race car that both front wheels are the same and the rears are the same. |

Guys, don't mistake me for a homo. I don't watch that ----. I just caught the CMT biography on tv, and they're showing this guy having a battle where he's clearly cock blocking the faster guy from passing, the guy drives off into the dirt to go around him, and when he does, Earnhart spins him.
Here I was thinking all my people had a reason to like this guy. :l |

people here are freaks when It comes to nascar, I've heard its worse in the south and maybe its true, but here if u bash nascar or anything to do with it in public you'll have 75 hicks in their jacked up trucks trying to beat ur ass. Nascar sucks chocolate salty balls I dont understand how people can sit down and watch that ----.

It's basically a hillbilly soap opera. I would much rather watch something like the le mans or f1 racing where they go fast as ---- and takes a little skill. I've went to a nascar race in Talladega once...it was actually quite fun because we camped in that center area, drank a shitton of beer, smoked a shitton of pot, and saw a shitton of titties. Other than that, I can't tell you how the race went or anything about it. It's douchebaggery to slam someone into the wall, but honestly without wrecks that "sport" would be abso---------lutely useless. |

Nascar is the worst motorsport I can think of and it seems like every car around here has a 3 or an 8 on it somewhere!
There isn't even a track close at all, people like to watch it on tv and get drunk while talking about how ------- awesome it is! I hate the south for stuff like this Turning right and left would make it harder! some people! :3 |

I could imagine playing grand turismo on the high speed ring, with like 80 other cars, and I'd fall asleep before the race started. As it is, I make it about half way around the track to find out where the car dies top speed-wise, and then I'm ready to scratch my balls again.

I'm not arguing that nascar doesn't require any skill, but compared to rally racing or other types of racing...do you think the skill level is the same? Nascar, everyone travels about the same line on the track. I think it's more dependent on the team and crew that set the car up for the track and less dependent on the driver's skill. I know EVERY type of racing depends a lot on the vehicle's setup, but I think the setup makes a bigger difference in nascar. Rally racing definitely is more biased towards the driver and copilot. The only time I watch Nascrap is when they run road courses. Its always the best "drivers" out front like Gordan and Stewart unlike the best car that particular day. Other than that Nascar blows. I love how when they try a course like Watkins Glenn its nothing but spins and crashes haha turning right pwns them!

Nascar is highly skilled competitive form of racing second to none.You can say the same about any form of racing especially drag racing but as i see at the track weekly things look easier then they are :1 Oh ya Rally racing i think takes the most skill or maybe just the most balls as you have somelse telling you when to turn on a blind hairpin going through the woods at 120mph :l

as for the guy that said Stewart and Gordon are great drivers because they have won a couple road coarses, hahah, Stewart is as dirty as they come and Gordon just got lucky early on in his racing life with the cars and crew that he had. Put him on a different racing team and he would only be as good as the middle of the road guys. |
