B16's are good swaps but usually run just as fast a dohc zc swap. With most b16 swaps there done way ghetto to cover the cost of the swap done properly 2000+. Alot have ls trannies and rpm switches with the wrong ecu's so if that's the case you have a chance.

That 200lbs can be the difference b/t winning and losing, just incase you didn't think of it.
...then mentally prepare yourself for the 30 second quarter mile that lies ahead... I remember when my car was n/a... It was like two barking turtles running side by side- I remember when first gear actually had to 'wind out.'

We ran this civic at the 1/4 track with slicks and ran a 15.2 so i'm hoping we don't get beat to bad but it's worth a shot. Yeah the car is gutted no dash or anything just a seat, huge tack and steering wheel, oh yeah and no a/c. But we'll see thanks for the feed back...yeah ------ 9.5mm APC wires i found them on a junk yard car so i was like hey 70 dollars wires for 5 bucks what a deal. We have 1.5" dorp Tokico coil overs set on, may not get horse power as you joke around but we get better tracktion less wheel hop. Strut tower bar helps out better then not having one, tru? May not be the richest person in the world to buy and swap motors out all the time but aleast we try, good starting out car.

i know a guy with a 91 civic with b16 raced a 89 crx with d16a6. The d16a6 won. SohC ALL the way.
It all depends on lots of stuff. You only about a second away in 1/4 maybe someobody will ---- up or you will get the jump on him.

Sounds like my old setup(sort of) I had a 90 CRX DX it had mpfi swap with a a6 shaved head with 3 angle valve/ ported and bullfrog race cam (hccs102 I believe), Hp racing header, 2 3/8 mandrel bent exhaust with arospeed bomb muffler, MSD sci, with msd wires cap and coil. Integra zc pistons(actually A1s which i found out dont raise compression) shot peened rods, knife edged crank, moroso racing oil pump, all new bearings and gaskets. SI tranny, energy suspension mount inserts, short shifter, centerforce DF clutch and a little weight reduction. Guess what I was only .2 faster than I was with dpfi (stock motor with all those bolt ons). But if the other guy can't drive then you have a chance. I managed to beat a few gsts(modded), gsr's(modded) supercharged 99 civic si(dont even ask) and other things that should've destroyed me on the streets due to drivers.

^^ that's why n/a sucks! i bet you spent a grip on all those mods, all you had to do was spend a grand on a turbo and decimate all! all motor is just too damn expensive for the power that you gain (or should i say, don't gain). i'm n/a right now but not by choice, i'm spending my money building another engine before i boost again so that i can do it right this time, and not say "uhhhhhhh, i wonder how much psi my stock sleeves or rods can handle"
