yeah, i had an 89s, which was a sohc version of the b20.

There is no sohc version of the B20. It was an A20, the only similarity is the displacement.

Sorry to say this but YOUR WRONG BUDDY the 1988 to 1991 honda prelude came with a SOHC B series engine one of the only SOHC B series available also the generation before the 88-91 had a b series in them two. the regular 2.0s came witha b20a3 that was dual carburated and the si model came with the B20A5 or the b21 something that was MPFI i would know becasue i own a 89 prelude 2.0s and i owned a 85 2.0s prelude as well.

Prove it. The sohc 12V is the A20
