CRX suspension Upgrades

Well just looking to see what everyone else is running, I am gaterh parts so i can just do it all at once but here is my plans as of now:

Koni Yellow
Ground Control Coils
LSD Traction bar/crossmember
Energy suspension master bushing kit

i was going to keep the stock swaybars(CRX Si) or should i upgrade, i heard 90-93 tegs fit and were a little thicker or are they not really worth it?

What about strut tower front and rear, was thinking front only

Also what about tie rods, should I just get oem replacements or are there some sort of upgrade? and anything i missed, thanks...Matt

Sway bars make a world of difference. I have a Whiteline front/rear bar in the Celica and it handles like a ------- gokart

That is a great list and you really couldnt get a better setup without paying significantly more. For the sway bar it is a great upgrade and go to some TEg bars will work well or get a aftermarket rear it really helps.

Check out k-sport coilovers. 36-way adjustable dampening, independant hight and preload adjustment, and cheap. They're 240sx struts are generally considered good quality, though entry level.

Re: CRX suspension Upgrades

Your CRX has 17-19mm front bar depending on trim level. 2G Integras have 22mm bar. The difference in handling is very noticeable, but if you are seeking any real amount of power by way of boost... forget it. Your ---- is never going to handle again, nig nog, at least not on sharp low speed cornering where you're supposed to get on and off the gas. Feathering the throttle is a joke, you'll just end up with trailling throttle oversteer and entering a ditch ass-first. High speed long sweeping curves... yeah, sure, but you aren't a Mk4 Stoopra and tin can Honduhs aren't designed for high speed handling.

I had Integra 22mm front bar and 15mm rear bar (takes some fab to fit the rear) on my CRX back in it's heyday of NA corner carving. The car felt really tight, precise, easy to control, stable. Bolt on the turbo... and... lol, I don't find myself hanging corners anymore.

I imagine there is a $$$$ way to set up your suspension plus keeping boost levels low thru the twisties, that will leave you with a feeling of satisfaction... or you could stay sub-200whp in an ungutted car and have loads of fun with swaybars + springs/struts.

Davis' also have the hookup on CRX parts. :6

90-93 DA front bars are a bolt-in, just don't forget to get the inner bushings with the DA bar, or buy the Integra units from Energy Suspension. My implying that DA rear bars are an easy fit... well, it took me an hour and a half, but it involved Dremelling the rear DA sway bracket bolt holes so that the slightly larger rear towhook bolts would pass through them, and then cutting the DA bar down an inch on both sides so that everything lined up tits. Those bars, GC coilovers, AGXs, and Azenis with a good alignment = 1+ G's worth of cornering force. Playing around in a mall parking lot, I could yank the steering wheel as hard as possible at 30-35 mph, and the car would go without the front end sliding out whatsoever.
