I have 403s and PR3 pistons in my my car and its a great combo and runs hard, but they don't compare to the 404s/PR3s....the all motornon-vtec B20 I'm now building will have Crane #20 cams and 12.5:1+ though, if you're looking to break 200whp in a non vtec those are the cams to use apparently and less "bother" than the new 405s

IMO "rough" is relative...you will notice the change in idle but in my honest opinion it will not bother you that much. its well worth it. my 403s untuned idle around 1100-1200 when cold..its a little rough but only during real cold starts. 404s and the PR3 or P30 pistons are a great combo for a nice non-vtec street car!! what exactly are your plans??
