The student loans aren't going to hurt as long as you don't defer them excessively and you pay them on time. I would ask the 13k card to lower the interest rate though........being that you've been with them for so long.
I got two houses and neither one has told me to close a credit card account
No way Shreik, the complete history is kept when any account is closed, whether you paid it off or it defaulted.

My "first" cc had a limit of $6500 and they want to boost it to $12000...
Then again I kinda cheated but oh well
quick question:
Somehow or another I have an account with Zales... now without me physically having the card (cut it up a while ago) can I just call them and tell them to cancel it, although I don't have the number or anything?
Then again I kinda cheated but oh well

I had one with a $6000 limit, plus additional loans and car loans that adds up to $15000, but I was still getting approved for whatever I want, but my wife show me the light and say pay all that ---- off at once, close the accounts, and dont buy anything if you dont have the money. I did when I came back from Iraq, and now I am debt free, and broke and it feel so good to be debt free.
so ---- a credit card
