I've got a ---- load of videos in the .wmv format, but to put them on my iPod I need to convert them to .mp4. Does anybody have a free program that will do this? Everything that I've found has been ~30 bucks or so, and I don't want to pay that much for it. Thanks,

get bittorent and see if you can download some of those pay programs. they usually come with a hack or key

i've got video capabilities on my phone, and i've tried avi, wmv, mpg-2 and 1, and mov.. nothing. maybe i need some of that mp4 crap.. i'll get lookin and let you know

Are you d/ling them through iTunes or another source? I get them through the university server file share thing, and they're mainly .avi/.wmv. It won't let me load them into my iTunes library unless they're converted.

 

yeah, then you click convert and it does it. atleast mine does it.l

 

yea, thats what I do too.
I just download all the movies, songs or whatever, and drag the file to iTunes and then it will ask you if you want to convert, and just click yes.
