Xbox 360 wmv conversion?
anyone know of any other encoder other than the windows media encoder 9 to convert a vid to wmv-hd format?
i bought an external usb hdd for use on my xbox. i formatted to hfs+ with macdrive, so i could put a larger than 4gb file on there. i have converted a few tv shows in 720p
that came out fine with WME, but i d/led boogey nights, and it never seems to get the job done. i'll start it before i go to bed and when i wake up it says 12hrs left, so i go to work, i get back(8hrs later) and it says 11hrs left? its ------ retarded.
just wondered if any of you knew of another converter/encoder.

i tried closing as many other progs as i could, but it didn't seem to help.
it is an old laptop, but i have converted a 43min tv show in about 2hrs, so i fugured many 7hrs for a movie, but damn.
i found this River Past Video Cleaner, they say it will do it, but its not free. and i can't seem to find a reliable crack

If you go donwload the fall update, and download the subsiquent upgrades when you try to play an unknown codec. 360's will default play mpeg-4, and anything set correctly encoded to mpeg-4 style. divx, xvid, etc...

the 360 doesn't support surround sound for divx either

and yes i will go through the encoding for the sound, thats part of the movie, but who says you loose quality?
same framerate, same bitrate, same resolution. i don't understand where you think the loss would be.
