i want to know what everyone thinks about contour svt's because my friend has one and he thinks its the best thing in the world and i just see it and an over priced grandmas car an a big disapointment only has 200whp and i would expect a lot more from an "svt"

you guys are ------- homos, its a totally stock car.

i think they look good, they're far from "fast" but what stock cars are "fast"

viper/z06/svt cobra what else? no jap cars. supras and rx7s are not fast stock... 350z are not "fast" NSX not "fast"

you're asking a lot for EVERYCAR out there to be low 13 sec cars.

plus, my buddy i played ball with in college had one, it was VERY nice inside.

oh yeah even though I like hondas, I like the contour SVT's too. My girl has a 4 cyl contour, it's nice for what it is, so I could only imagine the SVT version.

My freind has a svt its a great car besides the resale value :-X It dominated most of the imports in dallas with just a 75 shot intake exhaust and a few other things hes currently building a custom kit for it.

they're decent for the money..

v6, 6spd tranny, trick parts like extrude honed IM.

ya.. not many :/

o.. btw,.. MOST Mercedes and some BMW's for sure.

no they didnt start making them untill 98 and the only contour svt ive seen that has been fast was one that had a twin turbo 3.0 therefore the only part on it that is still stock is the engine but i would love for some one to change my mine so show me a fast one that still has the stock lower end or at least stock block

ohh and no its not not good for the money its a 2.5 v6 so its not big and its only a five speed with reverse lock out witch is gay and the fucis has the six speed

Is that the same V6 used in the Cougar? There a local guy around here with a V6 Cougar with a 3.0 bottom, run's low 14's, no bottle or boost. I bet it would be a animal with a turbo.

Those cars look nice but are notorious for having electrical issues. That's why my friend sold his. :-\

thats funny cause a completly stock svt cobra runs faster then your built turbo honda?

a c5 z06 is faster than your built turbo honda, a c6 base model is faster than your built turbo honda. :/

I like the outside of the Contour, its one of the nicer looking 4-doors. I'm not a big Ford fan though so I'd never own one.

i think they look alright too. but for newbs to come out and say it doesnt run 13 sec passes stock and that it is a bad car because of that is ignorant.

SVT (special vehical team) is just a model which is a lil sup'd up version of whichever car it is. its faster than a regular contour, thats what it was supposed to be. its not a supercar.

i think they're definatly sharp looking, and i was very impressed with the inside of the car. lether, nice gauges, comfortable seats ext.
