I live in Windsor, VA. Ironically a small town also. We have sherrifs and 1 town policeman but he doesn't play. I have gotten out of 2 tickets by requesting extensions until he didn't show. It will be a little harder for you considering you probably have more than one cop so other cops can handle some business while yours is in court but it can't hurt to at least try and make the cop a no show. But, if after a few extensions the cop still shows, Chacko had the best advice. Good Luck.
Oh yeah, do you have a court date yet?

Yeah im going to tell the truth about the ticket in court sept 15. I talked to my freinds dad who is a cop and he said that if I get a good behavior plea that there is a slim chance that it will be reduced to a 4 pt speeding violation because i over the speed limit very much. I feel sorry for my freind because he got this ticket 2 weeks after he got his license.

Why street race when bandimere is open from 4-8 PM on wed, and sat. It would jsut be dumb to have to go through the hassel you have now and get busted when you could have gone there and paied $30 and raced 7 or 8 timesa nd get a time slip??? plus you have access to 112 octain;)

hey man, 1st of all when they ask you what you want to plea, say NOT GUILTY and REQUEST A JURY TRIAL...a). it gives you time to build your case and a good argument....b). it gives you time for the cop to quit the force or get fired or whatever, in which case they won't have a case...c). somebody in a jury or your PEERS may have some sympathy or buy your argument

I was in Hunts Point, Bronx on a Saturday night to watch the races with three other people in my car. There wasn't much action going on that night. We were parked along the side of the street with two other cars, when a cop car rolled up. We pulled out to leave and he stopped us. Took all of our licenses, and came back with violations for speed contest, which here in NY is VTL 1198, which says we were either hosting or engaging in a illegal speed contest. We asked the officer, what we did wrong, he replied--we were lined up for a speed contest, which is bullshit. I'll see the pig in court next month.
