I still don't quite understand exactly what you're trying to do here. You want to hook up your digicam at home and be able to see the images through it like using it as a webcam? or do you just want to access the pictures on it currently?

all vnc does is allow you to remote controle to a desktop. no file transfers i dont think.

just make an ftp server you noob.

ultravnc and the latest dev version of tightvnc do file transfers, but depending on exactly what he is wanting to accomplish with this, there might be a better way to go.

Does your computer make a virtal drive when you plug the camera in?

If so...uhhh FTP? or would that be too easy?

Yeah your probley not gonna be able to access the pictures if they are just on your camera. I know my camera shuts itself of after being idle for like 30 seconds or something, besides even if it didn't that ---- would run out of batteries in know time. Just import them to your computer then use FTP.

I've done something similar before..

I used Remote Desktop Connection.. yes its crap.. but thats besides the point.

Make a password for it, check your IP (If you need help to do that PM me, its not hard but im too lazy to type it out), write it down and at work or wherever just connect, camera will work.
