Yes, but you can tell the router to give the line to only certain computers. So you can prevent it if you want.

dont mean to jack the topic but have you guys seen the new nforce3 motherboard?

it has 2 broadband connection ports.

when i first saw it i was like WTF are you going to use that for?

then my friend hooked 2 spots on his router into the motherboard and bridged the connections. it quadrupled his internet speed :o

ive been shopping around Ebay for a wireless router. The laptop will see occasional use around the house (when not datalogging lol). I dont think I need to go extremely high tech, i dont need to access the comp from away.
