compression test results are in!

200 - 170 - 90 - 200 >:D guess i shouldn't have beat the piss out of it the night i finished the install with no dp to put my wb to monitor the afr's :D i'm not too dissapointed about my 12.9 quarter now, considering it was done with two fucked up cylinders. built lsvtec should be done in about a month :)

it was only 107, which is what got me really suspicous b/c that's what i was trapping with my last turbo set up, and this one technically should have been making A LOT more power, even at a couple less psi, that and all the blow by i was getting led me to believe it was time for the dreaded compression test. it's all good, i've got another car to drive in the mean time. this will motivate me to do some things i prolly would have put off for a while since i'll have the engine out anyways.

kind of ironic that the only motor i've blown (that i'm aware of) is my own :-\ i'm not as generous with the timing on customer's basemap's ;)

nobody said you did fatass.

referring to things as hotrex style is pretty regular these days. in the dictionary "hotrex style" refers to anything done in a foolish manner, look it up

stock b16 turbo untuned with 2 dying cylinders = healthy, tuned, stock d series turbo, yes, i would say the two are about equal :-*

yeah right you're lying you blew it well after the track and you know it. :-*

its funny you always see these guys in engine management giving the solid, dont run hard untuned advice, yet we got kev here ripping the 1/4 miles n ---- untuned.

na, i know i blew it the same night i finished it. i had no dp, so i couldn't put my wb in and i had some pretty healthy timing maps ;). the next morning i started it up and it smoked like a bitch out of the breather, but after that, only did it under boost and little bit at idle. i figured i just needed to change my pcv valve (why it would be smoking at idle). i'm gonna try to finish building my ls block within a months time, but i have some stock b16 pistons/rods here at the house, so i may just throw them in with a new set of rings until the b18 is done, not quite sure yet.

if your cars had the same suspension and tire set up he'd be faster than you.

B>D

and yes, if we were to somehow clone my b16 and make a twin engine vehicle is would still be slower than a ford festiva, but we're not talking about my setup here.
