Doctors don't really care to hear about it. I think they want me to die.

My pains are in the upper left area of my chest. Top half of my left lung?
I had my cholesterol done recently, normal. I had a whole lot of bloodwork done, all normal. I think the Doc thought I might have some metabolic issues, but alas, no.

No, at least not as I understand pleurisy... that's more of an immediate medical PROBLEM. Sounds like I might have a problem with the membrane lining my lung, which I guess makes sense with all the pneumonia and asthma I had as a kid. Frankly, though, it hardly ever happens. I feel fine. No significant asthma in the last five years, it is to the point I don't carry an inhaler as I don't wheeze at all. I need to hop on some cardiovascular exercise because my heartrate is alarming, 85-90 beats per minute resting??, but it doesn't go unusually high when I exert myself and my blood pressure is rock solid 118/60 is the max I've ever seen it. The amphetamines I take for ADHD don't affect my average heartrate 2 bpm, FWIW.
My resting heartrate and my complaints of chronic insomnia had the Doc wanting bloodwork to check my metabolism, which turned out fine. I don't think she's impressed with the 5 hours of sleep I get every night, but it's more that I've ever gotten short of being ill or depressed, and I feel great when I wake up. I bought a cheap dial gauge and magnetic base, so I can true the wheels on my bike. I'll do that tomorrow, and start riding again.
