COD4 vs HALO3
 

well, i'm online now with my xbox and have been playing cod4 because i love it as a single player game, but it sucks ass online because you start with crap guns and it is impossible to walk 5 steps without dying. it was really getting me pissed so...

i just tried halo3 once and it seems like more of a level playing field for noobs. the graphics aren't as great, but atleast you can more easily see your opponents.

lmk what fps you guys are all playing on your xbox360.

I play both. They both have great campaigns and great multiplayer, it's just a matter of personal preference.

Can't wait for the new Halo 3 maps being released in a couple weeks 8)

I'll add you as a friend when I get home later tonight. If you ever wanna do some coop missions I'm down, or anything really.

just got a 360 last weekend COD4 is ------- awesome, but yea its kind of hard lol. I think my gamer tag is signorelli21 but you can easily spot me as the guy that just got killed :1

once you get upgrades for weapons how do you equip them? i have unlocked some ---- but it always gives me the default weapon.

COD4 is way better for single player and multi player if you ask me (just started the single player the other day and its awesome, play mostly online though), it really just comes down to what game if more fun for you. I don't even play Halo anymore because all my friends play COD4. I like the fact that you basically have to go through all the guns when you start out online to get promotoed, helps you get better imo. The first time I played I had like 1 or 2 kills and thought I would never get to level 55, now ive did that and already started on prestige mode last night going through all the guns again. The M16 and MP5 area actually pretty good guns too, so I wouldn't say you start out with crap guns, i was able to get at least 10 or more kills in all my first matches at level one when I start on prestige mode. I'm still not very good compared to some 12 year olds, but then again I don't play it 24 hours a day like they do.

Have you unlocked the create a class option? I forget what level that is (maybe Lv5 or so), but that's where you get to choose your weapons and perks, you get to make 5 different classes. So when you play online instead of picking the default "assault" or "spec-ops", etc options, you can choose your own.

cod4 all day. i love first person shooters(huge fan of golden eye for 64) i dont own a box but i play at my boys houses and no offence but its not that hard of a game. game starts - heave a granade or two - shoot - duck and whe you see someone on the radar pop out and buck.

just create your class or what ever its call so you have a gun your comfortable with, pick your perks and its all down hill from there.
dont know the names of my boys but the clan is [FTUS] theres a bunch of them if you ever want a good fight

halo3 was ok but when it first came out i did a coop and it was two fast we got most of the game beat in just a lil while


and since were on the topic of death in games how did every one feel about "army of two" i thought it was kinda cool some of the coop things you can do but it was short and i hate 3rd person

another note rainbow 6 vegas is good ---- like the old ones but cod4 ftw

This is my first 1st person shooter game. I'm used to Socom and such. It takes a while to get used to. I'm ranked 36 level uno. ok, i just played cod4 last night for a couple hours and even though i'm only getting 4-6 kills a game it is starting to get a bit better, i've unlocked a few things and i can see myself spending a lot more time on it... at least you aren't playing with hyper 8 year olds that won't shut up.

ive never played cod4, well how about any war based game that resembles our military task teams. ive always played games that most think are dumb which i find intriguing with great concepts that never catch on to the so simple minded people of todays society......katamari and gh3 ftw!!! oh and weirtech, im on halo3 all the time under LostGamersRUs. only thing is i am completely random at when ill be on exactly because of an eradicate sleep pattern. graveyard shift ftmfw!!!!

Haha. Takes a good amount of skill to be good at either, but a good Halo player will beat a good COD4 player at either game...

Haven't played halo other than the occasional game at a friends house for more than a year or so, but that was my game when halo 2 was out...

I can do pretty decent on halo (tapped rank 30s in my prime but haven't been back in years) and when I tried to play COD4 online I was getting killed pretty easily. As soon as I spawned, just running around for a few seconds I would be killed before i even saw someone. Not sure if it was just the weapon choice or map, but I got pwnd.

well, finally had a chance to play briefly with some hmt'ers on halo. it was cool, but after playing cod4 for a while now, i think i'm leaning more towards it. it seems with halo there isn't much strategy involved and people are just running around shooting in every direction. it is pretty chaotic. cod4 can get that way too, but it draws you in to play more because you want to get better upgraded weapons and ----. it really ------- sucked at first, but it isn't so bad once you unlock some stuff. i prefer that you can customize your player for different scenarios and it just seems a lot more realistic. the graphics are certainly better. if you are more of an arcade type gamer, then i'd suggest halo3 over cod4 though.

i just need to find some more peeps that are on cod4 that i can play with, that aren't complete losers.

Get to level 50 in something in Halo and then you'll understand the teamwork. Couple guys on my friends list do the whole MLG thing and have won major $$$ playing video games

Definitely. I don't understand why but everyone I talked to says it's easier to rank on halo 3. Either way, if you're a low rank you're going to play with people that don't know what they're doing, don't use strategy, and run around shooting wildly. Once you get up to the higher ranks, there's still idiots, but there's also more strategy.

I can't say if COD4 has more strategy or not because I haven't played it too much, but from what I can tell it's not much more strategic than Halo, if at all. Graphics on COD4 are better.

It is easier to rank up to about level 30, then unless you have a group of guys you play with consistently it gets a lot harder. Example, my highest rank on my new account is a 40 in team slayer because I haven't played it much. But my level 35 in Big Team Battle is about as high as there is in Halo 3 right now, so I can't find a game. Reason being, to get that high, you need to have a full team of people who know exactly what they and everyone else is doing at every moment in the game. If I actually gave a damn about team slayer, I could have my 50 in a day or two just playing with my friends. I've played guys who got to level 50 in something that involves no strategy like Lone Wolves and completely raped them 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4 with my friends. The game I got my 35 in Big Team we played against four Grade 3 Generals and handed them their ass 3-1 in a Flag game. Skill rank really means nothing though, because a lot of the pro's just play customs, and now I guess the MLG playlist. Gotta get workin on that.

so i just picked up a 360 and it ------- sucks because not only is my bank acct overdrafed, but now my ------- life is ruined because all i do is play xbox and play with myself :1

i'm too poor for Halo 3 (plus i wanted to know more of the storyline), so i picked up halo 2, and PGR 4. PGR 4 is so ------- sick. I'm probably going to pick up halo 3 once i'm done with halo 2. Although at 60 bucks a wack, i need to discipline myself to rent games before i just go out and buy them and find out they suck.

I personally hated Army of 2. But ALLLL of my friends play cod4 and love it. I've played it a few times and its ------- addicting as hell. Its like when halo2 was out and youd sit there n play it forever after those drunk nights :y
