Re: clutch lines?

I ran a -an flex line on my eg sedan when i swapped from auto to manual. Clutch feels fine to me but I have never driven another hydro honda to compare it to. Also my car has a stock y7 and clutch in it so I doubt there is a difference anyhow. I myself prefer cable/mechanical clutches to hydro.

I think that a new all-braided stainless line would feel better than a perfectly good hardline ruined by a foot of 10-20 year old half rotted rubber hose. Just a guess, but I'm probably right.

Re: clutch lines?

a 20 foot roll of stainless and a double flairing tool would cost you less than 50 bucks.

stainless is a bitch to double flair, single flair will seal just find though if you take your time and make sure your ends are cut clean, de-burr them before you flair it

re-use old fittings, i had a hard time finding new flare nuts with metric threads.

you could bend the entire line in less than an hour and do a good job.

For reference, I believe the term "stainless" in this thread is referring to:

which of course cannont be flared with a flaring tool.

Hard line can be flared and bent.

I know you know the difference OCD, but this line made it seem confusing, especially to Murdock, a former member of Milli Vanilli.

Re: clutch lines?

If you have a honda this is what you need: Atleast 4 1/2 to 5 feet of -3 steel braided hose. You can get this from anplumbing.com premaid length of 60 inches for like $25. You will also need one (1/8th pipe -3) straight fitting just like you use for a oil feed line for at T3 turbo. you alos need 1 more (1/8th pipe -3) fitting your choice of 45 or 90 degree fitting. That is all you need I have one on my car and it works just as good as the stock one. Im sure Stealthmode can get you everything you need. GL

1/8 pipe and M10x1.0 aren't the same. I believe I've used 1/8 on a clutch line, just like people have used 1/8npt on the 1/8bspt oil galley, but the clutch stuff is originally M10x1.0

Measure the line and have someone make you line on the internet. That's how I did my brake lines.

My bad I guess I have used the wrong fittings.

Well, it works usually once, I just wanted to clarify for the threads sake. Not trying to ---- on your parade, unless it's your sisters chest. Then we'll have to talk.

Re: clutch lines?

1/8" pipe thread has 27tpi.
m10x1.0 is 25.4 threads

it'll work to a point..
